What Type Of Fish To You Prefer?

I was reading a topic and started to think, why do people choose the fish they do, especialy goldfish as they are really common since I am a fan of fish that you don't get in your average tank.

Do you prefer common fish or rare fish and why?

(Common fish being things like goldfish and neons, rare fish being things like arrowana)

i like rare fish as they are different and more interesing but normal fish can be interesting as well

Found it almost impossible to vote in this one, as I like some common species and some rare- but not because they're common or rare. In the end, common got my vote, as I have a very soft spot for the common livebearers. It's the way they interact with each other, but still act as individuals. I'm hoping to try out some of the rarer livebearers eventually, to see what they are like.
