What type of angelfish is this?

Hiya.
Just wondering if anyone can tell me what type of angelfish this is?
I ordered a platinum angelfish but was pretty sure they are always pure white or greyish with a blue tinge? This one has several black markings .

probably a platinum cross, as you mentioned, platinums have no markings and are the single colour all over.

the shop would have bought it in as a platinum but it shouldn't be sold as one.

Technically there is no such thing as a Panda Angelfish. People can and do call them anything they want though. Yours is probably a Platinum with either a Zebra gene or a Goldmarble gene to provide the black markings.
