What Type Of Algea Is This..

Hi all,

just wondering, what type of algea is the photo's below and how do i get rid of it?

My CO2 is now working properly, i dose 15ml of JBL ferropol fertillisers once a week after the weekly water change. The lights are on a timer 8 hours a day (3pm to 11 pm) using the standard juwel tubes with reflectors fitted. The tank isn't in direct sun light. The plants are doing great except for the green cabomba which lost some of its leaves when the CO2 packed up. I've had the problem with the algea from about week 2 of the fishless cycle and its never changed in the 3 months the tanks been up and running.

I'm using feropol as per the recommended doses. Is there a better one out there i could try?

I am using TPN+ and Flourish Excel. No algae issues at all. Just aboutt o start my second bottle of the TPN+.

My lights were on for 8 hours a day, but have reduced them to 6.5 hours now.

I also dose daily rather than weekly as it gives a more even balance of nutrients for the plants. I also do twice weekly water changes of 25% which also helps with keeping a more balanced level of nutrients. Fluctuations in nutrient level will encourage algae i think.
