Well I´m two weeks into the cycle and researching possible stock and got my brain fuddled so I´m asking for suggestions. I have a planted 110 ltr tank with sand substrate.

I don´t want too many fish.

I want something to turn over the sand.
Something colourful.
All levels to be inhabited.

Not asking much am I? Could I please have your suggestions so my brain can slow down a bit. :fun:

ok, for community tanks i like to keep things relativley simple, less is quite often more. so just pick a few species but get nice sized groups of them.

if it's planted then I find the bright blues and reds stand out really nicely against the green of the plants so maybe pick a colour scheme like that

Your tanks a reasonable size, but not enormous, so I’d also go for all smaller fish which would make the space seem larger

How about something like this

6 x pygmy cories
6 x dwarf threadfin rainbows
6 x cardinal tetras
3 x ottos
5 x amano shrimp

it's a relativley heavy stocking (not silly heavy though), but you'd need to leave the cories and ottos until the tanks been set up a few months so it's chance for the filter to mature before putting a big load on it.

Ah thanks MW. After a quick google they seem to be very suitable. However I don´t remember seeing some of the in my LFS, any suggestions on how to obtain them online?

Thanks
