What To Stock In 14gal

I have a 14gal I want to stock.
Will
3 pygmy corys, 3 sparkling gouramis, and 6 neon tetras work out?

or

3 pygmy Corys, 5-6 rasboras, and 5-6 neons?

You need more cories than that. At least 6 minimum, preferably 8-10. I'd ditch the Neons ( pretty but very generic , everyone seems to have them) add to the cories and go with the sparkling gouramis. Perhaps Endlers or some type of nano fish instead of neons ? So:

8 Pygmy Cories
3 sparkling Gouramis

Possibly 4-6 endlers or other very small fish.

I think that would work/look better but that's just me.

You definitely need to up the cories though as they need to be in groups. I've found pygmies to be a lot more skittish than your average types so more is best.

Thanks, I will talk to my husband...lol. He's the one that wanted neons.
I will probably just go with
6 pygmy cories
3 gouramis
and endlers probably not cause I have 8 fancy guppies in my 10 and that's too many of the same type fish.
Still would spotted Rasboras work out then?

thanks for posting this question blueguppy, i was thinking of asking the same thing!
After some window shopping today , Honeythorn's suggestions are along the lines of what i'd like to get, but it was good to get an idea of reasonable numbers to have in a tank about that size as i wasn't sure on that front.
