Today i put a small airstone in my betta tank but it just floats it works brilliant just wondering what i could put it in?
I want to be able to have it on the floor of the tank so the bubbles rise. I tryed planting it in the sand but it just comes out again any ideas?
(Oh and it was in a treasure chest made for putting airstones in but the bubbles plonked out and it failed)

Do you have any of the lead that comes wrapped round live plants? You could put a bit of that round the end of the tube to weight it down.

use a rock to hold it down. id never suggest using lead anything in any capacity... "safe" lead or not (fyi., there is no such thing as safe lead). you could always find a suction cup and stick it to the side of the tank too.
cheers

Ive used suction cups but they just stick it to the tank, if i hold it down under gravel with them it just pops up again! :(
I need like a pot with a whole in that it all comes out of or something.

Does the tank have any sort of ornament in it at all? You could bury the tubing in the sand and put the ornament over the top of that to stop it popping up again.

Rocks or slate would work in the same way.
