Just want to know what sort of pellets to feed cories I picked 6 cories up yesterday and had a look at the food and the only type I seen for cories was some shrimp pellets??? Is that what I should get? Or is there something else instead of shrimp pellets or is that what all the pellets are for cories?

I dropped a block of frozen bloodworms in there for them so I didn't let them starve. What else would they eat other than bloodworms i've got some frozen brine shrimp do they eat them?

I've got betta pellets and some cichlid pellets here from when I looked after my mates electric blue but i'm guessing they wouldn't eat them?

Do they eat veggies? Would just tropical fish flakes do for them aswell?

A list would be great or something thanks.

IMO tropical flakes work fine just add a bit extra so some will fall to the bottom, or you could use sinking pelets

I try to feed mine a well balanced sinking type pellet. Because I have mostly the pygmy sized cories, I end up looking harder than most people would to find the smallest food that I can. All cories also love treats like frozen bloodworm but I never drop a block into a tank. I thaw it first in some tank water.

any food will be fine, the important thing is to ensure enough gets to the bottom of the tank

mine go mental for earth worm pellots. There is also the freeze dried cubes you can buy that you can stick to the glass. I really cant remember the name but somebody else will remember it.

hikari do sinking wafers just for the corys there on special at the mo £1.69 a bag. thay like carnivore pelletts too but only feed them once a week if that

I vary the diet of my Corys.

I use:

TetraMin Sinking Pellets
King British Bloodworm Pellets
King British Krill Pellets
King British Daphinia Pellets
King British Algae Pellets (only once a fortnight though)

Very occasionally I give them Hikari Frozen Bloodworm or Hikari Frozen Tropical mix

For my SF (in the same tank) I use TetraPrima Tropical Flake, any leftover of which get munched up by the Corys.

I bought some sinking algae chips (I also have an otocinculus), "Aquarian Algae Eater sinking algae chips". They nibble on them and they don't really cloud the water up so I put one in every couple of days. They're thin wafers and I usually break them in half and put one piece in each end of the tank. But my peppered cory seems quite content eating whatever is on the gravel, usually leftover flakes and bloodworms.~ Hope this helped!

Cories will eat otocinclus algae wafers just like most other fish will but they need a balanced diet to thrive. The stuff that I stick to the tank glass is freeze dried tubifex. The cories go for that too but usually they can't beat out all the other fish to get much for themselves.
