What to do with a tiger lotus that is getting WAAAYYY to big for the 4ft tank it is in?
Its leaves are so lush and healthy I am loathe to trim them off, but at the same time I am getting worried at just how much bigger its going to get. It is also busy sending out plantlets which I know I can easily divide off and rehome in my other tanks and even give to other people, but the parent plant as beautiful and healthy as it is, is starting to give me a headache.

Give it away or sell it dude, then keep the plantlets in the tank and watch them grow as they will ok just fine size wise in there. :)

The parent plant was a freebie, that struggled for a long time, but now its getting insane

, at the sametime I got another even tinier red leafed lotus which is also now just starting to really grow.
If I thought my goldfish wouldn't eat the lotus to death I would be tempted to put it in my pond but the lily already in there already covers a lot of the surface.
Just one of the leaves

Sadly I might have to try find a person with a bigger deeper tank to house this plant
