im in the process of upgradeing some of my tanks and redecorating the others. once im done im not sure what to do really. all thats left ATM is upgrade my goldfish tank, move the puffers in to my empty 5 gal tank and get new decore, redo my mbuna tank, get new tanks and decore for the bettas, upgrade the lighting on my nano reef and start getting corals, and finish the stocking on all of my tanks. this will tank only about 2 more months. afterwards all thats left is regular maintence, feeding and enjoying the fish. anyone else in or has been in a similar situation?

Hi fish_keeper2 :)

Look at it this way...............In just 2 months you will have all your work done and can go out and buy another tank. Then you can move all the fish around and start the whole thing over again! :look: :hyper: :S

first off you need a bigger tank for the mbuna.they need lots of space.
a 5 gallon is prob to small for 3 DPs

i wish. mom says no more tanks. i have enough trouble getting her to let me upgrade the current tanks and finish up the stocking let alone another tank.

i already know about the mbuna. they are small now and i will give them the best home possible ATM till they start to seem to big for thier tank then ill either get them a bigger one(if i can convince my mom to allow me to) or give them to a lfs that i go to regularly.

5 gal can house only 2 dps

i also know about the DPs. i got lucky with 2 in a 2 gal with only 3 small plants so i thought i could get away with 3 in a 5 gal with lots and lots of plants and caves and such. plus the filter that came with the tank broke and it was cheaper to replace it with a filter made for a 10 gal from a dif brand than with the exact same filter so i have double the filtration on the tank now.

right now the only aggresion i get is during feeding. sometimes they will try to pull the food out of the others mouth. really funny to watch though. but other than that they are very peacefull with each other. i will keep you guys informed with it though. hopefully i get some new plants and better gravel soon so i can set up the tank again(i have no more extra plants on hand and the gravel in the tank really sucks, it compacts really easy for some reason making it hard to use a gravel vac)
