Picked up an old Juwel Rekord 96 I believe it is.
Brand new, just the filter, heater, hood, light didn't come with it, but it is unused. Bought it for £20
Got a friend who has a hood for it apparently and it just needs to be cleaned and he'll let me have it for £20, so basically I've got a 99litre tank for £40, without a filter and a heater.
Filled it up last night and left it for 2 hours, no leaks. Took it upstairs and the place where I wanted it went nicely, just hope it will be strong enough.
Took off the Juwel filter box container thing, so I've got more room
I shall be getting a Eheim Classic 2213 for the filteration.
I just don't know what to do with it... should I make it marine, community, planted... what?
The tank is going in the spare room which will be somewhere to go and read a book/relax so I would like it to be something nice to look at.
I like the idea of marine, just don't like the price
I had another idea of having it as a dwarf puffer tank, and hardscape it to look like a washed up beach, a nice light piece of wood, slate chippings or small pebbles, and plants to match.
Another idea I had was to house a Ruby/Rainbow shark in there, but then what could I hardscape it as?
So please give me your ideas, I would like to take my time over this, that way I won't be spending out loads every week lol.
