Hey all, in a few months my Rekord 60 will have no fish in and as for ideas for what to put in it, im stumped!
My only real thought is a shrimp tank with mosses and lots of shrimp.
Normally I would be looking for oddballs and cichlids to put in, but i kinda want something different. Dont get me wrong, id still like a biggish oddball, but what are your suggestions for the tank?
Thanks in advance, Max

About 2ft wide by 1ft deep and about a foot and a half tall (that's without looking at mine because it's all the way upstairs!). 60litre capacity, hence the name.

I disagree about the cichlids, there are a number of species that can be kept in tanks smaller than mine, shell dwellers and Apistos for instance.
I am now thiking of Cariotetradon lorteti, anyone any experience of them?

the rekord 60 makes a good easy community tank, but possabily a dwarf puffer or such.shrimp tank would look great and u would be able to fit lots of shrimp in there.maybe a dwarf lobster or crab?ADF's make a good tank too.its about 15 uk gallons.soem killifish would look nice, they dont live long but usally u can get them to spawn and the group continues.some cichlids would work nicly, ofcorse, only the small ones.why dont u try looking around some fish shops, seeing what u like the look of, then researching it.i think thats the best way to decide what fish u like.

Thanks fishyboy, the lfs usually has some good stuff in for smaller tanks.
Irritatingly, its illegal to keep most sp of crayfish, we only get red claws. A shame realy cos id love a few dwarf crays.

How about a tank full of breeding 'Neolamprologus multifasciatus' I love these little cichlids, great characters :D

im currently setting up a rekord 60 with multis in it, i started a journal in old world cichlids, check it out if your intrested
