What To Do With Plants During Light Unit Faliure?

Hi

My juwel light unit had failed only after a day from new!!! only ive got £40 of plants coming today what shall I do with them? the company cant get me a light unit out till tuesday thats 4 days!! are they ok all that time or would it be wise mocking up some lighting? like some cheepo work lamps they use for garages my dad brought some cheep the other day there really bright florescent type.

I don't think the plants will Die from 4 days with no lights,
what I'd suggest is put them in some water and Give them direct sunlight but with 90% shading...
So you don't get an overdose of Light causing Algae but just enough to sustain them....

p.s this is a total guess on advice so some one correct me if I'm talking stupid =)
 
Your plants are not going to die in just 4 days. just let them have as much natural light as you can. if you just have them in a normal room, then there will be no real issues with such a short space of time with the ambient light in the room.
 
If your tank is ready, then go ahead and pant them. You can use a table lamp to give them some light.

The other option is to place them in a bucket of water and keep them in a position where they can get light, but not direct sunlight.
