EDIT:

No longer want Golfish/Oscer (tanks to small)

buuut here is what I'm looking for, any good?

Red-Tailed Shark
Red-Fin Shark
Harlequin Rasbora
Dojo Louche
Bleeding Heart Tetras
Panda Cory
Black Ghost Knife
Oto
Zebra Pleco
Guppy
Sword Tail
Dwarf Puffer
Dwarf Loach (also known as Chain)

As its not big enough for an Oscar you can forget that idea :)

Im not up on goldies but apparently its something like 20g per fish, so two goldies, perhaps 3.

well I was reading recently about this myself since soon after getting home from the store I had to go to work.

Me and my gf are thinking of an aggressive tank maybe with some bala chark (or something similar) and other aggressive fish. Also we would look into Louche and Cory/Oto/Pleco.

Maybe a a suggested combo of those? We are looking for anything impressive a cool looking for the tank including the above.

yer the tank is too small for Oscars...
im not really into goldfish :P but you can find some nice big ones! :)

you could even just get a community tropical tank, but i guess if your not into that don't worry :P

Sorry to say it isnt big enough for bala's either, they can get very big and need to be in groups of 6 minimum, they would soon outgrow that size tank. Need at least a 5ft 100+g tank.

Not large enough for clown loaches, but other loaches should be ok, also good for coryes, otto's and smaller species of plecs, however if you plan to go aggressive, the cories wouldnt be appropriate.

What aggressive fish were you thinking?

well here's a List of what we like, what combination would be best:

Red-Tailed Shark
Red-Fin Shark
Harlequin Rasbora
Dojo Louche
Bleeding Heart Tetras
Panda Cory
Black Ghost Knife
Oto
Zebra Pleco
Guppy
Sword Tail
Dwarf Puffer
Dwarf Loach (also known as Chain)

Red-Tailed Shark or Red-Fin Shark - could work, but in a 50G tank they would get quite aggressive and you probably wouldn't be able to keep any other bottom dwellers with it
Dojo Louche - are in fact a coldwater species
Black Ghost Knife - grows way too big
Zebra Pleco - very pricey, not suitable for community tanks due to their specific requirements
Dwarf Puffer - small but highly aggressiv and can' be kept with community fish

I would go with something like this

6 Harlequins
6 bleeding heart tetras
6 Guppys, 2M 4F
a trio of Swordtails 1M 2F
6 Chain Loach
6 panda corys or 6 ottos
