What To Advise Some One Else?

My wifes friend wants to buy an aquarium.

She has chosen to buy a fishbox 40 (40L)and has asked me for advice!

she started talking about silver sharks and 'nemo' fish

and my wife explaned how big silver sharks get but its like preaching to the deaf!!

she wants colourful fish and I was hoping someone could suggest some fish and numbers for a tank of this size

i was thinking

a dwarf gourami a center peice?

but im not sure what to put in a tank this small

(I will give her enough mature media for her tank to be cycled)

i have suggested waiting and looking on ebay as there are many bargains to be had for £80!

For £80 she could get a proper tank where she would be able to have the fish some of the fish she wants, she could go for a couple of male guppy's that would give her plenty of colour

i agree with the above 40l is to small she will regret spending £80 0n that and always wish she had bought a bigger tank .
