What The Hell Is This Please Help

i've been very busy the past week and i've noticed these things have started to crop up. they look like sesamy seeds but stuck on the shady sides of my roocks and wood

and what are these they seem to be stuck to the glass aswell and look like small white stick with 5 little things poking out of one end

the tank aint change apart from i've gone from this

to this :crazy: all because my girlfriend didnt like the big sords in the middle so im trying to propergate hair grass to fill up the back

I actually liked it better the first way..... LOL..... I think it's eggs of some sort.

Sorry :blush: ... didn't make myself clear, I'm actually referring to this part..... No idea what the "sesame seeds" could be :look:
 
type of freshwater anenome

i think they can give a little sting to any fish small enough to be affected but nothing serious.

gourami's eat them and i'm sure some other fish will do too.

relativley harmless, they crop up from time to time
 
Yep, nerite snail eggs. They won't hatch, you can get them off if you try hard enough!
 
sorry another question why are nitrite eggs so hard to hatch. sorry about the initial ergency of my post but im going on my hols soon and didn't want to come home to a dead fish
 
Yes, they are the eggs of the nerite snail and I think will not hatch in freshwater. They are extremely difficult to remove from glass and disfiguring on bogwood. I often had to take my spotty wood out and prise off the spots with a sharp knife until I found out what the cause was.
