What Surfaces Will Moss Attach To?

I was thinking, would it be possible for moss (java/xmas) to take hold on the standard plastic of a filter inlet pipe?

If tied on with thread, would it take? If the surface is too 'slippery', what if it was scratched, creating a rougher surface?

Could be a nice way to camouflage the pipe...

i suppose it would work, it would be very interesting to see! As moss attaches with rhizoids, it may hold, it may not. Like i say it would be interesting
