My two female kribs just cannot live together. One is staying in my 4ft tank and I am gonna get her a male.
My other krib will either live in the 60 litre tank with adf's or in a 50 litre tank. Which one should I go for? Plus, i would like to get a male for her too - but is there space in a 50 or 60 litre, if I have no other fish and put in plenty of caves and plants??

Dude, i woujld pick the 60, but it is quite small for a pair. You can do it, but expect alot of fighting for a while.

I used to breed mine in a 2ft tank (40litres). I had a couple of plants and half a flower pot on its side. It was kept clean with an air operated corner sponge filter. They were fine in it.

Thanks! Well the bullied krib may have developed fin rot so she is in the 50 litre with 2 dwarf gouramis and meds. Hope she is OK. If she is, I'll move her to the 60 and think about getting her a boyfriend once I have made it more krib-friendly - it only has large stones right now! Will make some coconut caves and the like. Should I add any other fish to the tank, will this make a breeding pair less likely to fight? Or leave it as it is, just 2 kribs and the african dwarf frogs? Froggies have to stay, the other small tank has no lid, and i have no chance of finding them in the big tank to feed them!

I wouldnt keep them with the frogs. They will most likley kill and eat them. Any more fish in that 13g ( 60 litre tank) and it will be waaayyyy over stocked.

when the female is better you could take her back to the LFS and trade her in. Then use the credit as part payment for a male. Then you will have a pr and room for the frogs and any young kribs that come along. If you have two prs then you will be over-run with the little buggars :)

I have some krib fry in my fry tank. My pair bred first in my small tank 55 litres, but they now live in my 180 litre. At first, the fry was eaten, now they are great parents and lovers

Ah. If the krib pair will kill my frogs then it is a no go. The frogs really have to stay put.
I refuse point blank to take my krib back to the lfs, i am too attached. I will do whatever it takes to keep her! Now both my female kribs used to live with my frogs with no problem, so I guess 1 krib will be OK with the froggies too. So, it looks like I am keeping a frog tank with 1 krib for company :S
Only other course of action is to find her a new home with someone who will let me know how she is doing :(
