What size heater for a 5 gallon (20 litre) tank? Would a 50watt work or would that be to much?

A 25W or 50W heater would be suitable. I have a 50W in mine and it's fine.

Hi Gurglar :)

The rule of thumb for heaters is to have 5 watts per gallon of water. This means that a 25 watt heater will do the job.

It's harder to find the smaller heaters, so if you need to get a 50 watt, it would probably be fine too. Just be sure that the heater you get is run by a thermostat and is not preset at a particular temperature. :D
