What Should I Feed Them

what should i feed a male betta to give good colour good growth and to keep him active havnt got one yet just want to know also how often

There are many good produces out there.

We feed ours Attisons Betta Pro which you can get on ebay. They sometime have Hikari Betta Gold from the lfs if we run out. Once a week they are given live bloodworm, daphnia or brineshrimp or frozen if we don't have any.

It's also useful sometimes to give a small piece of cooked deshelled pea as this helps their digestion.

Ocean nutrition make a good brand - look for Atisons betta food on ebay.

Hikari Betta Bio Gold pellets are good too and you can get them from pets@home.

Supliment with daphnia or other live food but avoid feeding too many blood worm as it may increase the likelyhood of dropsy.

so if i fed them the pellets/dryed food twice a day and then once a week could i give him some frozen brine shrimp

Yes that would be fine. We give ours 3 - 4 pellets twice a day. They love their brine shrimp and it's fun to watch them chase them round

Watch out when using free-dried food as it can cause swimbladder if over used
