What Should I Do

i have an orange platy in my 10 gallon along with 4 others and i noticed it has been acting strange. it has been just sitting on the gravel and only coming up to eat or when anothter fish nudges him to see if he's dead. He also has these little brownish dots all over the top of his head. the other day my other platy had babies and he statred chasing one. it ran under a plant and he chased it under and got stuck under it in an awkward position. every since then he has been acting like that. WHAT IS WRONG WITH HIM!!!!!! i don't want him to die.

First thing that I would suggest is to test your water for the 3 main problem areas... ie. Ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. Preferably with a liquid testing kit then post your results. Most problems start from stress caused by high levels of the first 2.

Also any other history....we have the capacity of the tank, what about how long tank has been running and did you cycle it? Stock, is it just the 5 platy?
