Ok so I bought 2 4ft tanks off ebay the other week and got a box full of equipment and test kits and things, problem is I don't know what most of it is. I know vaguely that they are pumps and bits off filters and stuff but wouldn't have a clue how to put it all together to make use of it.

Should I chuck it, or give it away or do you think it would be worth trying to sell? Not sure how to sell something I can't ID LOL. Some of it is in boxes such as a 48" light unit, obviousley I could sell this but some of the stuff looks like it's part of something IYSWIM, like there's a big 'thing' by EHEIM, think it's part of a filter, it has pipes coming off it but I can't see anything that it would attach to, i.e a cannister of some sort. There's bits off a nutrafin kit which annoyed me because it would have been fab to have the full kit but the lid and tubing is missing.

Should I try and sell it as a box full of 'things' for a cheap price or could some of you more techincal minded folks help me ID what it all is if I post pics. I bet I sound like a right idiot :blush: I just don't want to chuck it all incase it's worth selling / useful to someone if I give it to them.

DO NOT SELL THEM!!!!!!!!!!!! :hyper:

its really hard to get good stuff for a good price , keep it and spend time researching, post some pics of them here and between us we can help ou set up an awesome tank thats what you got them for sooooooooooo get your camera out, this should generate some good interest, :hyper: :hyper: theres nothing better than watching someone build a tank from scratch. if anythings left at the end keep some as spares and get rid of what you know you wont need by selling it back on ebay.

I just had a quick look Modaz and found a number on the Eheim thingy and it turns out that it's this;

Eheim 1060

I've also managed to find that another is a hydor 10, but again no cannister, that I can see, there's alot of pipes and things, oh and I found a power gravel cleaner, which I defo won't need as I only use sand :)

I shall whip out the camera later and snap away, hopefully you can all help me ID it :)

yeah post a load of pics we'll do our best to ID it for you :good:
