What Should I Do?

So. None of my females have eggs (hm and hmpk) and I'm left with no male. I have an empty ten gallon aside from Java fern, vallisneria, water wisteria & hornwort in it. I could invest in a female with eggs and a male, but I don't have forty dollars or tank space. I could buy two more females and put Jupiter, Bubbles & Amarette in the 10g and be left with two empty tanks, but where would I put them if I want to spawn? So, the predicament is: Should I save up another forty dollars and get a pair that is possible to breed almost immediatly? I'd have to take the gravel and stuff out of the ten gallon, but no biggy. Or I could wait until an existing female get's eggs in a sorority tank? I'm getting shelves big enough for a ten gallon at christmas, so I could get another one, but could a female hold eggs until that amount of time?

Just because a female isn't super fat doesn't mean she doesn't have eggs. The mother of my spawn didn't (and doesn't) have a big tummy at all but the spawn resulted in about 200-300 eggs. Just as long as she's conditioned, it's fine... it just depends on the female, I think.

Seriously? Well, I've had my female since... the fourteenth, so about twenty days? She always striped up and balanced up her head, she's pretty much skinny.. how is a sure-fire way of knowing the female has eggs? WHat if I let her in a tank with the male and she doesn't have eggs?

Are you in a rush to mate?...Bettas will alway be somewhere...umm...i don't know...depends on you...do you work?...can you get $40 just like that?....if you could then i guess you should cause where else would you put it?..you know what im sayin'?

I have twenty dollars already, from my october allowance, and next month I get another twenty but I can wash cars for ten dollars per... and maybe do some extra chores around the house. Well, I'll go ask, maybe I can volunteer to pick up cigarette butts at my dad's shop. Nah.. I think I'll sweep.
