hi,
sorry if this question boars you.
i have got a community tank set up in the living room its only 101 L but its big enough for me :D its got the basic mollies and guppys and that in.
The only problem is i want another tank. Id really like to keep some mbumbas is that the spelling or discus. But the only spare tank i have is 17 inch by 9 inch by 9 inch roughly 5-6 gallon with no heating or lighting just an undergravel filter.
as im not allowed another tank down stairs misses says so. The only place i could put one is on the book case in my computer room and i think the maximum size would have to be 2 fool long and 9 inch wide, i dont want to spend to much money any ideas on what i should do get a new tank or uise the old 6 ga;llon one or what?

cheers for your input

2 foot long by 9" wide comes out to 10 US gallons or less. The choice is that or the 5-6 gallon you already have? Sorry, but neither tank is going to be NEARLY big enough for mbunas or for discus :/

so what could i put in a 10 us gallon tank?
A pair or shell dwellers i dunno any surgestions?

If you want to go with a shell dweller species, try a trio of N Multies. These are the smallest cichlid known and they fit nicely in a 10g tank.

What is your tap water parameter? (pH/KH/GH)
