What Plant Is This?

name of plant please? grows really quick straight up to the water surface. when it reaches the top i chop the top portion off and plant it in the gravel. most of the time single stem but after cutting does have 2 stems sometimes. leaves are not round on the tip they have a 'nick' on each side.

Looks like Hygrophila polysperma to me too.

As it grows new leaves, the shape of them will probably cane to more like what your seeing on the web.

i have some over 30cm tall and this is their leaf shape when older.

Hygrophila polysperma looks totally different

Try Mexican Oak Leaf plant (Shinnersia rivularis)

Can you take a pic of the full plant? The little one looks exactly like H.polysperma, I'm still thinking Hygropila sp. though.
