I've tried various plants and have to keep moving them because the constant flow from my filter seems to be battering the plants too much.....

does anyone know a plant that likes a good flow and good lighting that I could put in this corner...preferably something fairly tall, but that's not a must....

thanks!

Yeah, That doesn't seem to make sense, I've a 10 gallon and I run 700lph and my plants are fine.

You are using high lights, so how many watts?

Are you dosing ferts?

CO2?

Maybe the plants are dying and falling apart.

Yeah I have to admit I was using liquid ferts but due to fish illness I stopped because I didn't want anything to interfere with sorting my fish out....so I don't doubt that it's not helping that they aren't getting enough nutrients.
I have no idea what my flow is....how do you measure that?
I have a juwel rekord 60....with original filter......yeah the lighting seems high, again original bulb, I'm not sure how strong it is, I'm thinking perhaps too strong....my tank seems to be able to cope with 8 hours light a day though it's been getting 10 recently but I think I may cut it back down for the plants sake.
Also I went through the pruning guide yesterday, and I really need to get my plants and give them a good pruning....I did a couple yesterday, my java fern I recently removed the young from it's leaves and added some of those to my bogwood too for their sake and for the mother plant which was looking pretty poor from feeding so many plantlets.
I've got nothing in for CO2 unless anything in the filter provides it......it's not all the plants which are really suffering....
if you look at my signature pic....the plants doing nicely are the one at the very front right...the java fern's not bad, just spot algae I think, the plant infront of filter unit on the right is looking even better now and has a great deal of new shoots, as does the one back left (same plant)
the twisty plant middle back is doing so-so....but the rest are really not looking so hot right now :(
I am doing a treatment of tetracycline which is hopefully the end of the problems after this.....else it's fish euthanasia.....so I was leaving it another 5 days and then planning to prune the rest of the plants with the water change and get back onto using the liquid ferts I have what are eSHa cryptoplus......is this alright or can anyone tell me of anything better, I'm willing to use other stuff.....as I really do enjoy the planted look, and plan to add more to my tank in the future :)

Thanks guys, sorry for slow reply! :good:
