Ok so right now I am having the worst luck with fish, my krib just died of an internal bacterial infection, my 6 cherry barbs just died of columnaris (different tank), my Bolivian Ram got sick and still hasn't fully recovered... and now there is something wrong with my Angel!

I just treated the whole tank with Anti Internal Bacteria.. Interpet no 9 due to my Krib and Ram's sickness. I also wormed them with wormer plus as 1 of my angels and my Gourami seem to bloat up a lot.

My Angel isn't eating and is hanging at the surface by the filter output, he normally follows me as i walk round the room and is the 1st to grab the food when i put it in but now he's just hanging there not doing anything. What's wrong with him?!?

I don't think it can be internal bacteria or worms because I have just treated them. I am just about to feed peas incase it's constipation as he has white stringy poo but I don't think it is. Also the tank has pleanty of oxygen as the filter is above the water level and i have an air pump.

Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 30 (Tap=40)
pH varies between 7.8 and 8

Any ideas what it could be?!?

Thanks

I have treated for internal parasites though.... I just treated 2 days ago :/

I just tried to feel peas (even crushed them with garlic) but the angel wouldn't eat!

Thanks for the reply!

I used wormer plus to treat my angels for camellanus worms and this didnt do anything. Has he got tiny red worms coming from his anal vent? Any other visisble symptoms?

No visible worms... He does seem to have pale gills but i'm not 100% sure on this... I am treating again with the anti internal bacterial but other than that I don't really know what to do.

Symptoms are...

Hanging at surface by filter outlet (def not shortage of o2 though as tank has plenty)
Clear, stringy poo
Not eating or showing any interest in food
Possible pale gills

Is there anything I can do to help him?

Thanks for the replys!

You say pale gills is there excess mucas on them aswell.

No excess mucus that i can see but i dont really know what it would look like. But his gills don't look abnormal other than the possible paleness. Any ideas wilder?

The fish shouldn't have pale gills could be stress, is the body of the fish pale.
pale gills can be sign of parasites like gills flukes but usually the gills will also look sticky.

I don't think he's stressed, he's one of the top dogs in the tank. I guess probably it's just an internal bacteria like all the other fish... I just don't understand why the mads haven't stoped the bacteria spreading or made the fish who have it better?!?

Thanks Wilder

If the fish have a severe bacterial infections, uk meds won't touch it there to weak, they can stop if getting worse, but uk bacterial meds won't cure it.

Do they stop it spreading or are all my fish going to die 1 by 1??

I have severe bacterial infections lose a few fish then everything returns to normal.
Not all the fish will die some will fight the bacterial desease off if there immune system is strong enough.
Look under gill rot to see what you think.

No definitely not gill rot... I'm going to have a look through that list though and see if i can come up with anything. Thanks you as always for your helpful advice!

I think we need to go back to the beginning when it all started to go wrong.
List the symtoms of all the fish you have lost and ones that are ill now.

ok...

Krib-
*Lethargic
*Darker Colour
*Not Eating
*Not swimming
*Died after 2 weeks

Cherry barbs- (pretty sure this was unrelated to other illnesses and different tank nets etc.
*Columnaris
*All died

Bolivian Ram-
*Hardly swimming
*Hardly eating
*Hiding in plants
*Looks very thin
*Still alive but not getting much better after treatment

Angel-
*Hanging at surface
*Pale gills (possibly)
*Not eating or showing any interest in food
*Not swimming
*Clear stringy poo (possibly due to not eating)

So there's the fish and symptoms. All have been treated with interpet no 9 anti internal bacteria and wormer plus.

Thank you for taking the time to help me. I seem to be losing all my favourite fish in this outbreak. :(
