Hi all.
I have had my tank running for nearly 2 weeks. I added fish after 7 days as this was what my lfs advised me. They have been going fine for nearly a week. A couple of questions i need answering asap please

1. When and how often should i be doing a water change and how much should i be changing?

2. How often should i be feeding my fish?

3. When should I be looking at adding more fish?

I have 4 platys in a 60ltr tank.

Sorry if these questions sound silly to you lot but i am a bit of a noob.
Cheers

Jamie

You haven't cycled so..

1. You should be water changing whenever there is ammonia or nitrite in the water and change as much as you can.

2. Once a day is fine depending on age.

3. Not until your ammonia and nitrite are always 0ppm.

If you don't have a full water test kit (pH, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate), then you must get one. Don't get dip-in strips get LIQUID tests they are far more accurate.

Would it be a good idea to add some plants now or would this affect the cycle?

i dont think plants would disrupt anything actually. except take in some nitrates and phosphates
