As the title pretty much explains, i'm after plants which i can plant directly into the substrate, as currently I have crypts, anubis, java fern and bolbitus in my tank, and only the crypts can be buried in, the rest are ideally mounted on something, i.e bogwood. Any suggestions are welcome! Thank you!

Most Echinodorus species and Hygrophila. :)

I have amazon swords in a low light tank and sand. They grow very nicely. Slow, but steady.
