Hi all,

Just got myself a new 15g tank, which i would like to use as a nursery tank or a hospital when needed. (hopefully never!)

I would like to keep the tank with an open top.

can anyone recommend a good light, that can either be attached to the edge of the tank or hung above it?

The tank measures = 18x12x15

Sorry to ask such a simple question, but i haven't had much success finding any for such a small tank.

Thanks.

Plecc.

You're aware of the evaporation rate in winter? I've got a Q/H/Fry tank that is covered only about 3/4 and it drives me crazy with evaporation! That light suggestion looks good. I would think there'd be plenty of simple strip fluorescents available for a 15g size.

Unless it is going to be a fully planted tank, you don't need any sort of fancy lighting. A simple $5 clip on desk lamp will work perfectly.
