The light unit has busted in my 14 gal so I guess I have no choice but to buy myself a new one! I've been dying to get my tank done up properly for a while and now I finally have both the time and the money to do it. However, I have literally no idea what I'm doing when it comes to lighting requirements. Can someone dumb it down for me please?
I currently have a (broken) twin starter unit from Interpet that kept the plants happy and the algae to a minimum so I wouldn't mind one of those again if it'd suit the plants I intend to keep. The idea is xmas moss (which I already have in excess), straight vallis, java fern and dwarf hairgrass. Would that be ok with similar lighting? Are there better and/or cheaper equivalents to the Interpet twin unit?
