What Kind Of Species

Hi There,

I would appreciate some help on identifying a species. I was hunting for a siamese algae eater for some weeks but wasn't lucky. Instead i purchased a fish that looks very similar, only that the long black stripe is missing. The lady in the shop couldn't tell me what it is but convinced me he would be feasting on algae too. Which indeed he does. I bought two of them, they are eating everything and are growing fast, at about 4cm now. I would like to know more about them to suit their needs. Anyone able to tell me what it is?

Yeah that's definetely them, many thanks for your help.

16cm maximum length, not sure how long my neons will appreciate their presence.

Should be ok together. Unless your tank is very small.
