What kind of food is good to feed...

Most people feed them flakes. You can also feed them live or frozen foods like: blackworms, bloodworms, and brine shrimp.

Mine love freeze-dried foods too...like Bloodworms, Brine Shrimp, and sometimes Daphnia.

Swordies seem to eat anything! Give them some algea tabs once in a while and they will eat less plants. My swordies get a variety of red, black, white mosquito larve, krill, brine shrimp, flakes, algea tabs, tetra discus, tetra color enhancer crisps and a green pea/shrimp/vitamin mush that my lfs makes. I try to give them a varied diet and different food every feeding.

Mine like algae tablet, peas if they will eat them.

I feed my swordies flake food as their primary food but I also give them frozen bloodworms, frozen brineshrimp, freeze dried bloodworms, freshly hatched baby brineshrimp, live microworms, freezedried tubifex worms, algea wafers and shrimp pellets on a kind of rotational treat basis. I also give them mushed deshelled cooked peas every few days. The first 2 times I offered them the peas they weren't impressed but the third time they went nuts over them and it's now their favorite treat. It's really cute to watch them play tug of war with a pea.
