oh alright, be warned though, I used to think the exact same thing, but look at my tank now! and I still don't have all the plants that I want! All I did was get the life-glo and buy some liquid fertilizer for $7 and add it once a week.

The only other thing is that you can only run the same wattage lamp as you have now. If your not sure what that is just take the old one to the shop with you. The length will tell them the wattage
