I was wondering what kind of fish I have here.
I have no idea, I know they had the scientific name up when I bought it but I cannot remember it now.

Thats a lepourinus (spelling) gets to about 12-13 inches can be quite aggressive but nice fish in the right tank. What kind of tank is he in atm?

he is in a 75 gallon with African cichlids and bala sharks.

hmmmm slightly controversial mix but it could work but I would consider going upto a 125 gallon once the balas and lep gets some size on them.

My albino red fin bala plays dead at the top of my tank, and my other gray red fin is a big bully. They have been in the tank about three weeks and have doubled in size already. If this guy grows that fast I will be in trouble. I hope they can all get along, but so far my african cichlids have left the new guy alone. I put two other african cichlids in there as well as him. An electric blue, and I cant remember the others name but he is dark blue with yellow fins. Well the other cichlids are more interested in chasing the one I cant remember the name of instead of messing with the lep. I will consider a bigger tank.
