What Kind Of Colorful Fish Coexist With Mollies?

guppies, platys, neons, glolites, even clown loaches (but they get big!) i've had all of these with mollies and they got along just fine! :good:

I would say Guppies. They are so friendly, peaceful, stick to their own, dont harass other breeds etc.

Personally, I'd skip the freshwater fish and consider brackish water species. Mollies do best in brackish water (yeah, yeah, I know some folks have them in freshwater just fine). Among the options in brackish include orange chromides, bumblebee gobies, knight gobies, Florida flagfish, and glassfish. If you have the space, mollies will do fine with scats and monos, both of which are lovely.

You keep cories, plecs, neon tetras and bettas in brackish water? That's not exactly the traditional way to keep them. Put simply, if you're keeping freshwater fish (as you are with this list) there's no need to add salt of any kind. None. Nada. Nix. Nyet. I don't really care what the guy in the aquarium shop says about adding a teaspoon of salt per gallon... it isn't necessary and certainly doesn't help and may even cause harm. Using salt in the freshwater aquarium is a holdover from the 60s and 70s when people thought it was good idea. It isn't. In a properly run aquarium, the advantages of salt (e.g., reducing toxicity of nitrite/nitrate) are outweighed by its disadvantages (e.g., osmotic stress).
