What Kind Fish Is This?

i saw this fish on "day break" and fall in love with it. thinking of getting it, so i need to know the name of the fish. if u know please tell me, thx!

Albino iridescent shark maybe?
I'm not sure though. If I am right... I'm pretty sure they get pretty large.

Sorry, unless you have a HUGE tank (or pond) then that fish is not for you! It is a red-tailed catfish, a fish that will grow to lengths of 3' - 4' long (http/www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/speci...?species_id=305) and eat anything that fits in its mouth

Yeah, most that get too big for the hobbyist's tanks have to be destroyed as public aquariums will not take them any more.

That said, I've seen a couple in the flesh, and they are really impressive fish, but need a massive tank. What's the general rule for the tank size needed by tank busters? is it 3 times the length, and 2 times the width or something? That would mean a 9 foot by 6 foot footprint, and several feet high. Massive by any stretch of the imagination, plus the filtration and heating system to support it! A great tank to aspire to if money became no object.
