i forget my hardness and alkaline but they were in range.

I've lost 3 fish so far to an unknown cause. I fairly new at this hobby but I've done a lot of reading. I completed my Fishless cycle about 2 weeks ago and stocked the tank with 2 Creamsicle Mollies, 1 Opaline Gourami, 1 Golden Gourami, and 2 Swordtails the first week. then I put in 6 Glass Cats. and 8 Harloquin Rasboras. Everything was great. Water parameters were perfect, everyone was getting along. Then out of nowhere I noticed my Opaline Gourami losing color and it's face turned black and his Lips turnind White... PICS Below.

The Opaline died that night after the pic was taken. A few days later the Golden gourami showed signs of a clamped Fin. It died suddenly after that. everything was fine for day, then a glass cat was found dead, then out without showing any signs of distress one of my creamsicle mollies died, and I'm not sure how long the other will last. the fish left show no signs of anything wrong, Could anyone help????

PS. it's a 55 Gallon. with about 2 tablespoons of aquarium salt added to it.

that's a really bad case of mouth fungus (Columnaris).
zip down to the LFS and get some medication to treat it. Even though it is called mouth fungus it is actually a bacteria and not a fungus. Get a medication that treats mouth fungus/columnaris.

To work out the volume of water in the tank
measure Length x Width x Height in cm
divide by 1000
equals volume in litres

When meausuring the height, measure from the top of the gravel to the top of the water level. If you have big rocks or driftwood in the tank, remove them before measuring the height.

remove any carbon you have in the filter before treating.

If there are still catfish or loaches in the tank then check the directions on the medication. Some medications need to be used at half strength for catfish and scalelesss fish.

hmm, the person at my LFS gave me some Clout pills for free. will this work or will i need that Maracyn and Maracyn 2. i'm in the second dose of Clout, Could I start the Maracyn after a water change?? is it ok for the Glass/ Ghost Cats? are they a real catfish family?

Why did you use the clout med.
I would do a water change and run some black carbon for aday.
Mouth fungus which is columnaris can soon rot the mouth away if its a bad strain.

I explained some of the symtoms to my LFS guy and he gave me those pills. I posted those pic on another board and didn't get any answers so i thought it was the right meds. So will i be ok if I do a water change then put my carbon back in for a day then treat Maracyn.???? or can i treat Maracyn now with the clout in the water since they treat different things? I don't want my swordtails to die.

Yes you can add the med once you done a water change and ran some black carbon.
The black on the fish has it gone.
Black patches can be ammonia burns that are healing, cichlids get black marks through digging, black marks can also mean cancer, then there black spot.
Any signs of flicking and rubbing.

There was absolutely no ammonia in the water while that fish was alive. i checked twice a day for the 2 weeks because i was paranoid was i going to do something wrong at first. I will treat with Maracyn 1 and 2 to get rid of the columaris before it spreads more and more. Some of the fish are keep swimming up and down on the glass over and over. but not against the fake plants.

Good luck.
Keep a look out for signs of flicking and rubbing.
Swimming up and down the glass sometimes can be stress.
