I have a Betta in my 250 lit community tank the last 15 days his belly started to get bigger and bigger it is like he has a marble in there like he is putting food in but not taking it out sort of.
He still behaves normally eats what he can get (can not say normally) a lot any ideas what the problem is if he was a she i would think he is pregnant.

he may be constipated, happens quite easily in bettas try fasting him for a couple of days, and then giving him a cooked shelled pea.

bettas don't get pregnant they lay eggs. If its female it could be full of eggs. Constipation or dropsy are most likely

if it's scales are popping out - it's dropsy - which is deadly...

if not - probably constipated...

His scales are Ok his behavior is normal i will try to get a photo this evening
