What Is This?

So I have a German blue ram with a small sore looking thing on its head...I noticed it two days ago, it also sort resembles broken blood vessels..it hasn't gotten any worse, the fish still eats and swims normally..it was hard to get a pic of it...but does anyone have any guesses as to what this could be?

he could have been wrestling with others

He could also be rubbing against sharper objects in the aquarium, this could cause injury.

I have no idea what happened to him,he continued to behave normally until a couple of days ago when he became extremely lethargic, and then today he died. All other fish are perfectly fine.
