Vieja.jpg

all ive been told is that its deffinetely a Vieja or a hybrid of Vieja origin.
i seen a synspilum at an LFS that looked quiet alot like this, but not the same colours....
any thoughts ? id really like a positive ID
regards kubora

Id say a Vieja bifasciata mainly because of the blue, but a young male just coming into colours. Most Vieja look pretty similar at this age, and its not a synspilum, they rarely have blue on them mostly red.
Ive just done an image serch and it looks like Vieja bifasciata is the most likely.

whats the common name ?

jsut googled it, way too much red and it dosnt get verticle black bars under the thick black horizontal line...
mine seems to have a greeny blue pattern... especialy on the face with no red.
