What Is This Plant?

So ive had this plant for awhile and it has NEVER grown, i mean the most it has done is a little spout in the middle! the others have just died, thing is when it is out of the water it is stiff! not sure its even ment for water? so could i get and id please!

I am no expert on plants,but it looks like some kind of Anubias to me. Perhaps A. heterophylla.They are stiff, as they can grow outside the water. They grow rather slowly compared to most other aquatic plants. Make sure when putting it back in the tank not to bury the bulb bit (where your thump is on the 2nd pic), it needs to be above the gravel.
