Hi guys, long time reader but I just joined bc Iā€™m at a loss.
Iā€™ve got balloon belly Mollies and have a separate tank for my babies. We currently donā€™t have any males so the baby population is at four.
One of my babies developed this spot on her side and it looks like itā€™s secreting some sort of something. She doesnā€™t act like it bothers her, sheā€™s still eating normal and will let me put my finger up to her and knock it off.
The spot hasnā€™t grown but is darker in color.
Iā€™m afraid sheā€™s gotten hurt and itā€™s her intestines but also looked up fluke disease. It doesnā€™t look the same as photos for that though.
Any ideas what it could be and how to help her?

Hi and welcome to the forum :)

can you post a bigger picture of the fish?

I cropped it closer and uploaded the actual size. Hopefully that helps. She doesnā€™t sit still long enough to get many pictures.

So as of this morning whatever it is stopped coming out of baby fish. And the dark spot has lightened.
i still would like to learn what it is/was, but she seems to be improving.
