What Is This Fish?

Does anyone know what fish this is?

Someone said some sort of african cichlid but i'm not too sure.

Bought from a pet shop, they also dont know what it is.

Its about 2 inches long.

Any suggestions

Looks like some sort of female hap, from malawi.
No idea which one as most of them look like this.
Were there any other fish like this in the tank or was it kept alone?

It was with a group of kribs but no others like this one.
I was told it was a krib but i know it deffinately isnt. doesnt look anything like one!

my guess not only a Haplochromis like AA said but a deep water one too, the eyes tell you that.

give it space and nice yummy things to eat, still too small to guess male or female though as males will look dull like that for a long time. Then one day POP you'll see greens, blues...



second point I'd like to make is the store...if they think thats a krib, i'd cross them off my list of stores I buy from.
