Hey can anyone help me with this mystery?? Well i changed 100% water in my aquarium yesterday and today I noticed some very tiny white/clear spots bundled in these clusters around my aquarium (mostly on plants and the thermometer). Are these eggs or is this some kind of diasease?? Eggs are ussually that colour right? but the thing is these are extremely small so I don't think they are eggs. Heres my fish list in my aquarium: 2F 4M Bloodfin Tetra's, 1F 1M Rosy Barb, 1F 1M Guppy, and a Female Fighter. Here's a photo i took of the thermometer, You maybe able to spot the small white/clear clusters.

Thanks

Hi Fra[nk]iez :)

If I'm seeing what I think I'm seeing, they are snail eggs. What kind of snails do you have in your tank?

well, there not fish eggs...

Sure you dont have snails? If you accidentaly have been overfeeding then they may explode in population, you may not have noticed them until now also. Either way, those looks like common pond snail eggs.

If thats what they turn out to be cut back on the feeding and their number should die down to where they are not very noticeable.

Yepp im sure I don't have snails.. unless they are soo small that I cant see them...well the only way that they 'could' of gotten in my tank is when i bought some java moss from the fish shop and the snails still stuck to the java moss?? seems unlikely because i dont see any snails at all.. do snail eggs appear out of no where into aquariums? lol well the white spots in the clusters are soo small that even my 1 day old guppy fry's could eat them :p (but they don't eat them..even my community fishes dont eat them...must smell/taste bad :S) well if they are snail eggs.. how long till they hatch?? and by the way theres ALOT of them clear spotty clusters all around my aquarium..

listen...they are snail eggs. I bet they are in a "jelly like" substance right?
yes snails come in in java moss and other plants, this is how most people get them. And yes they can be too small to see. they will hatch soon and then you will have a ton of baby snails. Cut back on the amount your feeding to slow down the population, and remove the eggs if you dont want em. The guppies and platies wont eat them, unless you feel like crushing the snails and then feeding it to them :good:

None of the fish you have breed like this, sticking their eggs in jelly bltoches all over the glass etc....they are snail eggs.
