my pleco SUCKING on my cory? for like 2 seconds? and my cories do not even act scared at all!?

 I should hope someone got a little fun out of it...

The pleco probably just sucked on it by accident, I don't think there is anything bad going to happen for it.

Plecos are well known for having a taste for fishie slime coat. That's why you should never keep them with fish with large flat surfaces, like discus or rays.

Keep a close eye on the situation, if he keeps doing it, he could harm, or even kill the cory.

Are you sure you're not confusing fish? Chinese Algae Eaters, which are not related to Plecos, or even look remotely like them, will do that. I've never seen or heard of a Pleco do that.

No, I definately mean plecos. Commons & Gibbies are the worst for it.

Ask any discus fanatic.

Odd, though I suspect the reason is most plecs prefer harder water than what you'd keep with a Discus so they look to the slime coats for more nutrition.

hmm my pleco don't even dare sucking on my discus, he will get his a** shread to peices...

but my cories..get sucked on during dinner ONLY :/

we had problems with Ottos doing it to our larger common...

they did it a few times - but did no damage.

They are dead now though! :look:
