I don't know of any other brands of fish food, but I think that these are the most popular.

Personally, I believe that there is no higher quality fish food than Hikari. Not only is it better for your fish (it enhances growth, color, and immune defenses) but fish like it better, too. I remember when it comes to algae tablets, I'd throw a hikari tablet in there and it would be gone come morning. I'd throw Wardley in there, and most of it would be still be there, left to rot. The fish just didn't like it!! Hikari food is also a lot more balanced than anything else you can get. It has different varieties of goldfish food alone, which is a lot better than practically any other food on the shelves. Hikari makes a goldfish healthy. Other brands--such as wardley--give goldfish constipation (and I would know this, too!).

What is your favorite brand of fishfood and why?

I was Aquarian as my flake food.

Hikaria algae waffers

JMC high protein pellets, catfish pellets, dried river shrimp and tubifex cubes.

My boss at work uses all of these plus more, mixes a quantity of all of them togother and then just feeds with that!!

Hikari algae wafers, hikari pellets and frozen food...Hikari then!!!! :D

Personally I use
Hikaria algae waffers
wardley fish flakes (my kissing gouarmi wont eat anything else)
blood worms
granules (not sure who makes them but everyone loves them)

I feed Nutrafin, Tetra and Hikari. Nutrafin flakes and freeze dried red grubs Tetra[min] flakes for the fish and Hikari frozen bloodworms for my ADF's. I also use Big Al's brand singing sticks, which my black kuhlis love.

I've used both Tetramin and Wardley's flakes and never had problems with it. I use Wardley's shrimp pellets for my cories and they love it (pellets were inherited). I've used both Hikari and Bio-Blend algae wafers for my plec and he devours either brand.

I'm not saying that fish WON"T eat fish food other than Hikari, it's just that they generally like Hikari better. Hikari is also higher quality, better ingredients, and more balanced than other brands. It's also the only fish food I know of that actually bothers to put on an expiration date; Hikari just seems to care more.

I switched to Hikari after they had their free food promo online back in the spring. They don't sell the Hikara Tropical Flake near me so I have to order online. They claim their food doesn't discolor the water over time like other foods.

I voted Hikari, but my fish are spoiled. :D

I feed my fish Tetra Tropical Color Flakes, Wardleys Tropical Flakes, First Choice Freeze Dried Brine Shrimp, Hikari Freeze Dried Tubifex Worms, Hikari Freeze Dried Dafnia, Hikari Algae Wafers, Hikari Cory Wafers, and Hikari Frozen Blood Worms.

The fry get Hikari First Bites. I didn't know Hikari had flakes, going to have to get those now. :D
