What is the action called when adding dechlorinator

Hi, there is a name for the action of the decholrinator when it is added to tap water. Technical term for the action and it is driving me mad as I can not remember what it is called

Barry is correct, dechlorination is the removal of chlorine/ chloramine from water.

Chlorination is the addition of chlorine to water.
