Well some of you may of read that monday night my coldwater 130 litre tank cracked and managed to get the 2 goldfish onto my temp tank. well I had them in the bathroom for now on the floor, I know not a good place, but today I was going out this morning to get a new tank for them.
we live in a small one bedroom flat/apartment and the bathroom has no external window, (can you see where im going with this
).well this morning I walk into the bathroom turn on the light and before the room is bright i walk straignt into the tank, glass breaks water everywhere, look down and the water is red, wife runs in to rescue fish again, both are ok but my leg was not so good, so we both clean up the water and blood then look at leg, nice gaping hole with tissue sticking out. so up the hospital we go, 2 hours later after an xray to make sure no glass is inside the wound as they could not see it as it was quite deep, then they stitched it up. back home now got a new tank for fish on way home, but leg is throbbing and feels really bruised.
so notes to self, never wait an extra day with fish in a temp tank, never have any tanks on the floor esp in a dark room, even if its not for long, and always make sure the bathroom light is fully on before ever walking in the dark.
