Fish Crazy
Last week my bn pleco went into hiding. He was up behind the filter and wouldn't come out. If I poked him with my finger he would leave for a moment and then immediately return. He also stopped eating and the tank started growing significant algae (it is close to a window and I can't move it). Came in on saturday to find him dead on the bottom of the tank, his fins had been pretty heavily picked at. Sunday I noticed that one of my male guppies was looking emaciated. When I went to feed tonight he was hovering at the bottom of the tank unable to swim properly. By the time I boiled some epsom salt he was dead. Both of these fish are survivors from my original 'listen to the LFS and just toss some fish in after 24 hours' tank, so they were probably not the healthiest. But it seems odd to lose both of them so close together, especially since they've been in a good tank for months.
Stats are: ammonia 0 - nitrite 0 - nitrate 40 - pH 7.2
edit - one of my glofish (also a survivor from the original tank) is looking unusually skinny
