What Is Best 25w Heater Made?

Hi:

I'm looking for the best, submersible, shock-proof or unbreakable heater made suitable for a 3 gallon Eclipse System 3 tank. It appears the lowest wattage made is 25W without going to one of these mini-heaters that are just always on.

Any recommendations for the best 25W heater out there?

My pick would be Visi-Therm Stealth heaters. I have them in my bigger tanks, they automatically shut off when the water level goes down, and they are some kind of plastic, so no glass to worry about. They only disadvantage is that they don't have a light to show when they are on, but I've never had one short out yet. Never seen one in the store, but I know you can order them online.

Thanks so much. I really like the looks of this Vis-Therm Stealth heater. I had rejected that one since PetSmart didn't list a 25W version so I assumed they didn't make one. According to your link, I was wrong. I wish they would carry this one as I wanted to order a heater online with my Eclipse System 3 gallon tank and get free shipping. Maybe I can just get their 50W heater and exchange it at one of the local stores (yes I'm in the US). I agree, however, I too would like the traditional light.

What are your thoughts on the Hydor THEO? It boasts about being the first shatter proof glass construction AND petsmart online does have that one in the 25W version......

Shatterproof glass is just glass sandwiched between two layers of laminate, it can still break/crack.
